This session will have heavy emphasis on how customers can exploit their significant investments in OpenVMS systems and applications by reusing and extending these applications using state-of-the-art, industry-standard, Internet integration technologies.
This Hands-on seminar will show attendees how to build a portable Java based application. We will initially run it on NT and then deploy the application on OpenVMS. We will also show you how to run the application via the Apache web server on OpenVMS. Finally we will take the application and run it above an industry Java Application server native on OpenVMS which will allow the application to fully utilize the performance and reliability of the OpenVMS platform..
For customers considering the deployment of Windows NT/Tru64 into their environment, weŽll discuss how to design a rolling architecture that accommodates the integration of Windows NT/Tru64 into their OpenVMS environment, keeping focused on customersŽ requirements for 24x365 availability. WeŽll also cover how to ensure that this new, integrated environment is scaleable to accommodate the high transaction rates and high number of concurrent users that will likely occur when y our application debuts on theThis Hands-on seminar wi Various implementation technologies will be discussed across OpenVMS, Tru64 and Win NT.
