T2G18: Looking inside and managing complex TruCluster

Lernziel

Inhalt

TruCluster technology since its introduction has been the benchmark for UNIX based clustering implementations and up until today there is no comparable commercial offering available on the market (although SUN has finally shipped SUNcluster V3.0). TruCluster is the latest version of HP’s clustering software for HP Tru64 UNIX adding ease of management, "single system administration" and scalable growth to the already powerful high availability and high performance features of the previous releases. Today HP has different offerings for high availability on HP-UX and HP Tru64 UNIX this seminar will also highlight the differences in design and concepts.
This seminar will provide an overview on how TruCluster has evolved and how it has been implemented on HP Tru64 UNIX. It will provide a detailed tour throughout the TruCluster product and its subsystems. It will provide insights how to design and manage large scale TruCluster installations.
Topics covered during the seminar:
The roots and nature of the TruCluster and ServiceGuard software
- Releases and Roadmaps
Key components of TruCluster technology and its associated HP Tru64 UNIX subsystems
- Basic Architecture Overview
- Event Management Subsystem (EVM)
- Cluster Filesystem (CFS)
